Themed Set #1: Q2

Today's question is the second of seven in our first themed set!

This satellite was launched on July 10, 1962, but soon failed due to a government planned testing that the creators of the satellite were not privy to. What is the name of the satellite, and why did it fail?

This is the second of 7 questions of the themed set! Don’t forget to guess the theme by the end of the 7 questions!

Here is the answer to yesterday’s question!

The answer is Alexander Graham Bell, who created the telephone. As the phones became more popular and widespread, people had to start operating switchboards to connect the calls across towns and states. Typically, women would do the job of a switchboard operator, and many wore roller skates to deliver messages to the central table as soon as possible

As always, the answer will be released tomorrow on the next issue of Aurium Daily - until then, put your answers in the comments!

See you tomorrow!
