Aurium Daily #57 - Keep It A Secret

Today's topic is revolutionary inventions

This painter was known for being a pioneer in technology used for communication. He was known for 2 major inventions, one that allowed messages to be sent anywhere very quickly, and another that was a code based on the English language. Who is this inventor and what were his 2 inventions?

Here is the answer to the question from last time!

The answer is Fyodor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment novel, written in 1866. This novel is one of the most popular of his works, known for being very confusing due to the constant name changes for the same character, consistent with many other Russian novels of the time. At the end of the story, the main character Rodion Raskolnikov ends up being exiled to the Siberian Penal Colony as punishment for murder, but gets a very light sentence for his good behavior

As always, the answer will be released tomorrow on the next issue of Aurium Daily - until then, put your answers in the comments!

See you tomorrow!
