Aurium Daily #46 - Mistake of Astronomical Proportions
Today's topic is mistakes relating to space exploration!
This machine was sent to keep an eye on the climate of a specific planet, but disintegrated very soon after it reached space because it ended up entering the planet's atmosphere instead of just orbiting due to a calculation mistake. What machine was this and what was the calculation mistake?
Here is the answer to yesterday’s question!
The answer is the "Checkers" speech, where Nixon defended that he did not take any political gifts, except for a dog named "Checkers" which was a gift to his daughters. The idea for the speech came from FDR's Fala speech, where he mocked the Republicans who claimed that he used a navy destroyer to retrieve his dog Fala who was left behind on the Aleutian Islands

As always, the answer will be released tomorrow on the next issue of Aurium Daily - until then, put your answers in the comments!
See you tomorrow!
