Though this animal does not exist, this mythical creature, a symbol of purity and magic, is considered the national animal of one of the countries in the United Kingdom. Which country's national animal is this and what creature is it?

Here is the answer to yesterday’s question!
Correct the answer is elephants in Botswana! The population of elephants has grown greatly in Botswana, so much so that people are getting injured often and houses are being torn down. This past April, Germany proposed a ban on trophy hunting imports, which would only lead to further increases in population for Botswana. This is why they told Germany that they should try “living with the elephants” and that they would send 20,000 elephants so they could experience it.
