Lilly Ledbetter(Y) was an advocate for gender pay equality(X) , and the law created was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009, enabling people to challenge pay discrimination. This was the first act ever signed by Barack Obama as president. Ledbetter passed away 2 days ago on October 14, 2024
