Aurium Daily #24 - German History

Today's topic is German history!

During the 15th century, Germany instituted this practice as a law, but this was later changed to be included only on rental agreements.

This practice was started in the Swabia region of Germany, where households in a building were required to take turns on Saturdays performing this activity. What is this activity and bonus: what is the German term for this activity?

Here is the answer to yesterday’s question!

The answer is Rutgers University in New Jersey! It was founded on November 10, 1766, and was originally named Queen's College after Queen Charlotte, queen consort to King George III. This name was changed in 1825 as a tribute to Colonel Henry Rutgers who donated great sums of money to support the college during the period of economic turmoil, after the university had been closed down twice due to a nationwide economic depression.

As always, the answer will be released tomorrow on the next issue of Aurium Daily - until then, put your answers in the comments!

See you tomorrow!
